East China’s Jiangsu province has allocated 3.661 billion yuan to support the construction of key water conservancy projects across the province.

Jiangsu has recently allocated 3.661 billion yuan of provincial funds for the first batch of key water conservancy projects this year. These funds are intended to accelerate the construction of key projects of the national water network, support the construction of the second phase project of the Huaihe River waterway into the sea, the management of key plains and depressions in the Huaihe River basin, the management of the Wusong River in the Taihu Lake, and the construction of key river basin projects such as the Taihu Lake levee.

These investments will also support the implementation of key water conservancy projects in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, accelerate the construction of projects within the national special plans such as the new round of small and medium-sized river governance, the renovation of large and medium-sized irrigation areas, and the construction of sea embankments.

Jiangsu will also continue to accelerate the progress of fund issuance, strengthen the supervision of fund use, and ensure the smooth progress of various key water conservancy construction projects based on the progress of engineering projects.
